Stuart Rossiter, Blue Guides editor-in-chief 1963-73

From the fly leaf of the second edition of Blue Guide Greece (1973):

"Stuart Rossiter succeeded L. Russell Muirhead as Editor of the Blue Guides in 1963 after being Assistant Editor since 1954. Educated at Framlingham College and King's College, Cambridge, he first acquired his enthusiasm for travel while serving with the Royal Air Force in the Far East, though he dates his interest in geography from the age of six, when his philatelic activities started. Having spent five years as a librarian, Mr Rossiter has an extensive experience of printed sources combined with a healthy mistrust of their accuracy. His interests include genealogy, postal history, food, and music."
